de Graaff Lift and Escalator Consultancy (the original consultancy practice) was founded by Theo de Graaff in 1976 and quickly established itself as a leading contender in the specialist world of vertical transportation.
The practice grew rapidly and after the introduction of Ken Williams and Peter Davies in 1984, de Graaff & Partners was established.
de Graaff & Partners continued to thrive and expand under the experience of the 3 partners, maintaining its long term clientele portfolio. Theo de Graaff retired from the day to day running of the company in 1990, with Ken Williams retiring in 2001.
In 2002, Ray Davies joined de Graaff & Partners bringing with him over 20 years of expertise within the lift industry. The company incorporated in 2003 with Peter Davies becoming Manager Director and Ray Davies as Technical Director of de Graaff & Partners Limited.
After the untimely passing of Peter Davies in 2004, Ray Davies took over the role of Managing Director. He has since invested heavily in modern technology and systems, enabling the business to continue its rapid rate of growth whilst bringing it up to date within the modern engineering world.
de Graaff & Partners now employs several Associates and has an ever increasing client base.
